FOLLOWING JESUS LITURGY

Leader: Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” We believe this is true because of the Gospel. What is the Gospel? 

All: (Hold up right hand)

1. God always Loved us and gave us His Son Jesus

2. He Lived the life we couldn’t live

3. He Died the death we should have died for sin

4. God Raised and Seated him as Lord

5. He is Coming again to Restore all things

Leader: When we believe the Gospel we receive the Gift. What is the Gift?

All: (Hold up Left hand) We are…

‘Gift’

1. Forgiven

2. Freed

3. Filled with the Holy Spirit

4. Found in the Father, Formed in the Family

5. Forever

Leader: Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations.” What is a disciple?  

All: A disciple is someone who is following and being formed by Jesus in all of life. 

Leader: Jesus said, “baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”  What is baptism?

All: Baptism means we have died with Christ to our old life and been raised to new life and new identity. 

Leader: What is our new identity?

All: We are the beloved sons and daughters of God. 

Leader: Who are we together?

All: We are the Church: a Prayerful, Family on Mission following and being formed by Jesus in all of life.

Leader: Jesus said, “teach them to obey everything I commanded.” What is the greatest commandment?

All:  Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. 

Leader: What else has Jesus commanded?

All: We praise you Father, Son and Holy Spirit! You are with us always, to the end of the age! Amen!
